Automotive Auctions takes the sale completely off your hands, but that model has a price. The car goes to the showroom in Milsbeek or Tiel, bidding runs through an external auction platform, the buyer pays 12.5% auction fees excluding VAT, and although the sell page calls the sale free of charge, the terms provide for deducting fees from the net proceeds. The audience is broad too: alongside enthusiast cars they auction daily drivers, commercial vehicles and campers, partly for trade parties. If you are looking for an auction where the car stays at home, the costs are fixed upfront and the audience consists of enthusiasts, there are alternatives. Below they sit side by side.

Watch three things when comparing. Are the costs fixed upfront, for you and for the buyer? Who is in the audience: enthusiasts who come for this one car, or a broad trade network? And where does the auction happen: on one platform with the questions and the settlement attached, or spread across a site, an external bidding platform and a showroom?
